Get to Know Our Step-by-Step Process

Navigating the aftermath of an accident can be distressing and uncertain, which is why our dedicated team is here to guide you from start to finish. As a team, we will ensure a seamless and efficient experience for you from drop-off to delivery.

Each step in our repair process ensures that your vehicle reflects the quality and care provided by Top Finish Collision Center. After a vehicle arrives at our collision center, the process typically involves several key steps to assess, estimate, and initiate repairs.

1.) Scheduling an Appointment

  • Before dropping your vehicle off, we will confirm a couple things with you.
  • If you are proceeding with an insurance claim, we’ll make sure that coverage or liability is confirmed before we schedule you in.
  • The insurance company you are handling your claim with will usually provide a rental car for you. If you choose to use one, our team will make sure to have your rental ready for you on the day of your appointment.

2.) Initial Assessment

  • On the day of your appointment, an estimator will conduct a preliminary assessment of the vehicle’s visible damages.
  • If you have an estimate written by your insurance, or by the insurance of the party at fault, then we will use this estimate to begin repairs.
  • If you do not have an estimate written, we will submit our own for review, or wait for a field appraiser to write an approved estimate to begin repairs.
  • Before you go, we will ask for your approval to disassemble your vehicle. Once we have your permission, vehicle teardown can begin.

3.) Estimate Process

  • Vehicle teardown begins and may take between one to three days. Your estimator will address any structural damage they see. If additional damages are found, we will submit a supplement to your insurance company.
  • Your insurance will review the supplement and may perform a vehicle inspection at our shop. Once approved, repairs on your vehicle can begin. At this point, we will confirm with you an estimated completion date.

4.) Repairs

  • The body stage is the first phase of repairs. Length of repairs may vary depending on the type of accident, however, we will update you accordingly.
  • After the body stage, we prep the vehicle to be painted. In this stage of repairs, we match the vehicle’s original color and finish to achieve a flawless result.
  • Once the vehicle is painted and reassembled, we polish and wash it to prepare it for delivery.
  • Before delivery, our Quality Control Manager performs an inspection to confirm that our repairs meet industry and safety standards.

5.) Delivery

  • Your vehicle is ready for delivery! If you have a rental car, you can leave it at our shop and we will arrange for it to be picked up.
  • If your insurance issued a payment to you, we will collect it when you arrive. If applicable, we will also collect your deductible. We will provide you with a copy of your final bill and lifetime warranty on your repairs. You are back to driving on the road!
